I was thinking of an R9 280X DirectCU II and I had an R9 270. Will it bottleneck? CPU is in the title. I really need help because anything over the R9 280X DirectCU II is mostly too much out of my budget. The R9 280X DirectCU II costs 100$ in russia. Should I instead buy an GTX 780 TI instead? I am gonna get VR later. And according to this video (

)  the R9 280X should run VR. So, I really dont know. Need help guys!

The Sandy Bridge Intel Xeon E5-2440 (6c/12t) was released in mid-2012, and the R9 280X is a rebranded Radeon HD 7970, which itself was released at the start of 2012, and the 780 Ti was released in late 2013.

I don't think you'll have any issues with bottlenecking with either card since they're from around the same time period, but the 780 Ti would probably provide a better VR experience if you do explore that side of PC gaming later.

Nah don't worry about it,but you will not able to play some newer titles who are CPU dependent.

I'd adwise you to check system requirements of each game you will play.

Can you afford RX 580 with 4 GB of VRAM?I think you could find that one for 100 $.

Please do not take offence for my apparent confusion or rudeness,it's not intent me to be like that,it's just my BPD,be nice to me,and I'll return twice better,be rude and usually I get easly pissed of...I'll try to help anyone here,as long as it's something I dealt with, and even if you think I'm rude or not polite, forgive me,  it's not me it's my BPD.

Thanks for understanding.

Without having actually tested it, the RX 580 will perform better than the R9 280X and about the same or better as the 780 Ti, depending on the game.

Ok.
