I bought my motherboard (asrock b450 itx ac), I was looking forward for the r5 1600 af because of the 6core/12 threads for sg$159.90 but the shop owner say the 3600 is coming in stock soon and it's much better in performance and value.

I hear it's 6core /12 threads too but it's gonna cost sg$249.90 that's Almost $100 more should I get the 1600af or go for the new generation?

I'm only doing light video editing on my baking videos and esports gaming and homework, and will the 3600 work with the gtx1660 super I bought if I went for it?

Or should I save the extras and just go for the 1600 af (last few in stock owner reserved 1 for me.)

Most likely yes. Overall performance is pretty close to a 2600/1600AF. Get a decent 20$ cooler, enable pbo and the 3300X will be stellar

 Depends

What do you mean by light ?

In editing the 3600 will kill the 3300x

The 1600af might be better but there are advantages to the 3300x compared to the 1600af

Better imc fclk and ipc count and a better fpu ( doesn't matter in your case )
