Looks like your cpu is getting a bit hot, are you using the stock cooler?

Likely around 3.9-4.1Ghz with stock cooler, 4.2-4.35Ghz with ample cooling and better temps.

CPU AVG Core clock while Gaming..???

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Its likely your CPU is operating at around 3.9-4Ghz from its 4300-4350Mhz boosting. Due to being hotter with the stock cooling under load.

Another cooler to keep it cooler will bring higher clocks and less performance drops.

I would say you have a 10% less CPU performance from being so warm at load. (Give or take聽 1-2% due to many variables)
