remote connection issue

 im trying to use the remote desktop client to connect to a virtual machine run in the vmware client and no matter what i do i get a error help

Main Pc: CPU: ryzen 5 5600x  Motherboard: Msi b450 gaming plus max  RAM: 32gb corsair vengeance ddr4 3200mhz ram  GPU: Nvidia rtx 2070 SUPER 8gb Case:  cooler master td500   PSU: corsair 750watt bronze80+  Cooling: Kraken x53 aio Storage: wdblack snd750,3tb wd blue hdd

 

2nd Pc: CPU: ryzen 5 3600 Motherboard: Gigabyte AB350M-Gaming 3  RAM: 16gb 3000mhz gskill Aegis  GPU: Nvidia gtx 1650super 4gb  Case: Cooler Master MasterBox MB311L ARGB Airflow PSU: corsair cx 550watt 80+ bronze Cooling: Vetroo V5 CPU Air Cooler Storage: adata su635 240gb ssd, seagate 750gb 7200rpm hdd

What does the error say? What Network Mode is VMWare running the VMs in? Did you actually enable RDC in the VM?

i enabled rdc and when i try to connect it just tells me it cant connect

its seems like there is a setting i missed or its messed up it says i cant connect

i did not disable the firewall but rdp is enabled in the firewall

Yeah, open Control Panel (must be CP, Settings wont work), open System, click Advanced System Settings, click Remote and make sure the box it ticked. Make sure the VM is set to use Bridged Mode networking or you won't be able to connect to it.

 

Edit - Seems like MS finally added the Remote Desktop options to the Settings menu so you can try opening Settings, searching Remote and clicking Remote Desktop Settings. If the option isn't there then just do it through CP instead.

Not necessary when connecting internally, only for external access.
