At the moment i am trying to get as much info as possible on phones, etc etc and i would like to know, what is the best sub $250 (aud, so things will be more expensive) smartphone that has 3g, a camera, android and all the other goodies like that

Maybe a used LG G2? I know here they can be had pretty cheap.

Samsung phones are all right but I'm not a fan of the build quality.

Oh and fyi i'm asking for opinions and doing research, i might not even buy one (i'm not sure if i need it yet) but i'm very unfamiliar with the mobile industry (too much time invested in PC MASTER RACE) But thanks for your input nonetheless. If i do get one, it will be the Moto G

I don't know about down there but I've found a few up here.

Mainly because they're given away for free with a contract, so they didn't hold their value as well.

Definitely consider spending the extra and getting the 16gb model. I don't think 8gb phones should even exist anymore, since the memory is so cheap. It really limits what you can do.
