Basically about 2 weeks ago I stated blue screening randomly, first happened gaming dota 2, than when I was getting micro word and excel work done. Lately it has been when I have my lab write ups in Excel and word both open (college student trying to get work done) than I start gaming. The time before blue screen varies and is getting more and more frequent.

I downloaded and burned to disk memcheck after about 2nd or 3rd b.s. ran it and got errors, tested stick by stick, nothing. Both Dual channels both pairs (.. 4 on offs) nothing, than all 4 again and got nothing.

I Booted Pc works fine, than random b.s. again next day same work. After a successful boot few hours later b.s. again, ram checked, failed, pulled all sticks, put all sticks in, no errors.

After 2 more b.s. and repeated procedures I began to simply shut off psu. I found right from start if I did not pull sticks or flip the psu switch Pc took 5 or more attempts to boot OS before doing so. It seems power needs to be drained from ram in order to resolve problem.

So question remains; ram, mobo, or CPU?

I hopefully can get my hands on 4 new sticks of ram from a friend to drop in and see, hopefully this will narrow down the problem but I figured I may as well get this query out there, just in case and who knows maybe someone in the future will stumble apon this thread in the future with similar problem needing to know the cause and solution.

Thanx for reading, Markes12344

So far i am running windows flawlessly.
On my first set of dual channel i lasted 2 days with no BSOD and that usually wouldn't happen i would blue screen by then.
Im on my first full day with the second set of DRAM and so far no blue screen, starting to make me wonder if it is mobo.

Anyone ever hear if a bios that lost a 1 or 0 over time and well would create ram issues? or would it be physical?
