Laptop Buying

My dad needs a new laptop for work because the laptop that is currently useing older macbook. What laptop should he buy? Is the Dell xps 13 the best choice?

you could maybe wait for the Ryzen 4000 mobile CPUs they look to be way better than everything intel is offering

Depends what he is doing on the laptop.

 

Chromebook if light web browsing/office work, otherwise Thinkpad.

I think a chrombook would have limitations bc of the operateing system. He is a lawyer so he is doing a lot of lawer things. One reason he wants a new laptop is bc he does not really like the mac os.

Do you know what screen size he prefers? Does he need a lot of IO? And what is his budget?

Sorry I took a week to respond these are the only preferations he had

 

He needs a laptop that is preferably light, has a reasonable amount of storage (not a lot), prefers a touchscreen, a large screen, proccesing speed/ram more important than storage, a good track pad if possible, windows not mac and the price to be around $1000

Thinkpad X1 Carbon or Yoga if he insists on a touchscreen.
