R9 290 (14.1 beta) problem

hi,

 

put simply this is the first AMD card ive ever bought and so far the experience has been ....... unique.

 

ok so i uninstalled all nvidia drivers.

put in the r9 290 then rebooted and installed teh new 14.1 beta driver.

 

next i ran Furmark :

    OC to 1100Mhz at 3840x1024 at max AA. 

    results after 30mins were steady at 82 degrees @ 60% fan speed.

so the hardware is good..

 

All my MMO games run fine.BUT

now when i run BF4 my GPU usage shoots up to 100% and i get a black screen.

i hit alt+f4 aand alt+tab a few times and the desktops reappears.

ok when i open task manager and kill the BF4 process the gpu holds at 100% usage.

 

is anyone experienced this before?

Might be your beta drivers that are causing the black screen. GPU usage should be 100% when it is being used in BF4 so that is fine. I would uninstall 14.1 and install 13.12 (stable drivers).

lol the 14.1 drivers are not even compatible with minecraft. Like.... it doesn't even work with minecraft, everything is white.

Everything is clear except for entities. 

The year is 20XX. Everyone plays Fox at TAS levels of perfection. Because of this, the winner of a match depends solely on port priority. The RPS metagame has evolved to ridiculous levels due to it being the only remaining factor to decide matches.

Only Abate, Axe, and Wobbles can save us.

The beta 14.2 is out now.

But try 13.12 too.
