Hello! i need some help about finding the right SSD for my gaming laptop its a

 

Specs: Alienware M14x

Intel - Intel core i7 2670qm @2.20GHz

Ram - 4gb DDR3 at 1600MHz

Hard Drive - Toshiba 700GB at 7200RPM

 

and i dont know what SSD i should get i was told to get Samsung 840 Pro Series 256GB 2.5IN SATA3 Mdx Solid State Disk Flash Drive SSD

Way I would do is open your laptop up, disconnect your drive and get out wi a ruler and measure your clearance. I daresay you've got room for a 7mm drive but double check.

For the SSD itself, Samsung 840's are pretty good. Only go the pro if you need faster write times. Otherwise Plextor M5's, Intel 335's, OCZ Vector, Crucial M4..

That SSD seems absolutely fine. Suitable for your laptop.
