my uncle is giving me a gtx 460 and it needs 2x 6 pin power connectors but i was planning on putting it in a dell prebuilt. is there a way to get 6 pin power from like sata power or something.

could you give me some suggestions on how to get the power connectors.  i might just have to get an adapter.

i have a inspirion 660 and a inspirion 3671

Its possible. Advisable I can’t tell.  The 460 generally draws around 85w gaming but it can go as high as 115w. The question is does the machine’s PSU have the extra juice necessary to accommodate it safely.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
