HELP Wooden PC case

Hi there, thanks for clicking on this post. We want to design, make and maybe sell wooden computer cases with our school project, but we need some user input to make sure we are including the right features and make the right design choices. It would be very appreciated if you could take one or two minutes and fill in this short survey. Thanks in advace!

I didn't answer the survey because I find the questions weren't that great.

 

Pretty much every question in there is subject to ones personal opinions. I think if you're designing a custom case you're best off going mid tower as that's pretty much the most common platform, but literally everything else is personal opinions and statistically will vary significantly. If it's something you truly care about you should design the perfect case for you, and what you want. That's the magic of custom work. It's unique. Then if that's a success and you want to make options (i.e. wood choices, different designs/sizes/mounting options, etc) then that's your prerogative.

 

I personally would never buy a wood case, purely because I feel that they lock me into a very specific style niche that you're sort of forced to follow. But I've still seen some wood concepts/designs and think they look unique, clean, and flawless.

 

 

Also are those photos on the survey your work? Or just filler photos?

I actually quite like the idea of these cases for a small form factor PC for the living room.  The problem is though if I wanted a case like this I would just build one unless the price of the case was very competitive.
