Hello,

Firstly I do not know where to post this, and this seemed like the best option. So please forgive me for that. Secondly, as far as I know the LTT Forum doesn't have much regarding virtualization but I'm running out of options and this forum has never failed me before.

So,

I'm running a MacOS Sierra VM on a Windows 10 host on VMware on an ryzen 2600. I am running it on a previous version of VMware because 15.5 doesn't work well with ryzen and MacOS. Everything is running fine and stable but I can get vmware tools to download, it's grayed out. I don't have it downloaded but the options shows as update vmware tool and its grayed out.

I looked it up online and it said to remove CD Drive from the hard ware options and add it again and select physical drive option or something along those lines. I tried that but I am still struggling. Does anyone have any idea or any suggestions? Please?

Thank you so much!

That doesn't mean it wouldn't work. Current forum policy is to allow discussion of Hackintosh and such as long as disc images, downloads etc. aren't shared. So if you don't have anything to contribute in way of helping, and don't approve this discussion, just skip it.
