How much lifetime can be expected from a GTX 1060 GPU?

depends on what you expect from it,if you expect sth like low settings then id say about 3 more years

What do you mean by lifetime?

Do you mean how long before the card physically breaks?

Or do you mean how long will a gtx 1060 last before becoming obselete?

If its the former, then it depends on your use case. A gtx 1060 would probably last a long time ( 5+ years ) if you take care of it well and don't expose it to too much heat or something

If its the latter, then I can't really say for sure, because I don't know what kind of advancements are going to happen in the near future but I predict it will still remain relevant for at least another generation, maybe not for triple A games but for lighter games/workloads

No one knows no one will ever know

It could depend on the pcb and how clean and quality power delivery it has it depends on the PSU maybe it depends if your using it for mining or just casual use

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad.

I don't think I ever had a card last more than five years.

The cheaper cards even less then that most of the time.

For me if the card doesn't just quit working.  I will stop using it at the point when they stop supporting it with official drivers.

I did have a duel gpu on one card once that they quit supporting in just like 18 months or so.

I was so mad about that because I spent over $300.00 US on it back then.

That was a long time ago though.

If by lifetime you mean how long will the GPU be operational, it is very hard to say. Different components have different expected lifetime and a single capacitor might break before the GPU does. However they are all rated to last many years under harsh conditions, therefore most likely your card will become obselete as in no longer keep up with your needs, than actually die.

Unless you use it as an actual mining card than it will break pretty fast since graphics cards are not designed to be hit with hard objects.
