Posted June 7, 2020 Hi, I'm running out of ethernet ports, and i need a gigabit switch to connect to my NAS and my computer, which is on wifi currently. How is this switch? https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Litewave-Unshielded-Unmanaged-LS1005G/dp/B086384H7C/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=litewave%2Bgigabit&qid=1591540345&sr=8-2&th=
 Posted June 7, 2020 It's gigabit and seems solid, I don't see anything that stands out as to why you shouldn't get it. Posted June 7, 2020 I have 3x 8 port switches from TP-link and they have been fine for a number of years... the one switch that failed on me was a Netgear IIRC, which I replaced with another TP-link. To be fair though I got a complete refund on the failed switch even though I'd had it for over 2-3 years, good ol' Amazon Please quote my post, or put @paddy-stone if you want me to respond to you. However, for $1 more, you can get the TL-SG108 which has a metal housing for better heat dissipation. Any network device that is fan-less needs good cooling. But i think the plastic one looks cooler
