Cant crossfire 290 tri-x !!!!

I have 2 290 tri-x cards and want to run them in crossfire in a asus gryphon motherboard. The thing is the main 4 screws in the back keep rubbing against the fans on the second card making very loud noises and destroying the fans.

Can I remove 2 of the bolts in the back (the ones that are problematic) and run it like that? There are plenty of other bolts holding the heatsink in place.

if you dont care about things looking a bit ugly, you can get a riser and ghetto mount your gpu somewhere. or you can test removing the bolts and check if you get any problems. dont go too far tough : )

Removing the bolts won´t have any effect in the beginning it might mess up ur card in a long term.

when you screw the cards in try and angle them slightly up for the top card and slightly down for the bottom card 1-2 degrees should be enough and won't harm the cards or PCIE slots.
