So I was having some blue screen issues which seemed like bad gpu drivers so I completely re installed them it seemed to fix my blue screen issues. But now I'm having a issue with it completely crashing it just does it randomly when booting it up and when watching videos. The lights on the motherboard are for cpu and dram. My pc specs are

2600x

Gigabyte Aorus b450m

Msi rx570 8gb

16gb corsair vengeance @3200mhz

Crucial mx250gb for boot drive

2933 is just the maximum frequency that is guaranteed to work

No the imc is absolutely capable of handling more especially with an soc bump

You can't guarantee silicon quality lol

I've seen this with unstable XMP. Turn off XMP. Retest and let us know.

I will try and get rid of the xmp profile and see what happens. It's strange because I've been running 3200mhz ram for a year almost now and it just started  giving me problems a couple months ago.

I thought about the old bios may be causing issues too, how does one go about updating it? I've only built a few pcs and have yet to update a bios yet

Well if you can post

You go to the manufacturer's site go to support type your exact mobo model and then download the latest bios

If you want there are plenty of videos showing exactly how to do it ;)

I disabled my xmp profile and it has yet to black screen yet. My ram is only running at 2133mhz now though how much performance am I losing running it at that only? I find it weird that I've used 3200mhz for almost a year and just started having problems with it could this be due to my older bios version ?

A similar issue. Perhaps similar resolve?

Tell me about your power supply. What model, 80plus rating, wattage and age?

I'm going to try and update the bios if I have problems again. It also could be the motherboard it is just a fairly cheap b450m board it was only $120 Canadian a year ago. It seems to be running fine at 2133mhz right now but I wonder how much performance I'm losing running at that instead of 3200
