Sup ma homies,

So the tasq I shall bestow upon thy is simple. Is it possible to give my WD Black drive an OS, drivers, programs and games so it would work in my new build:

Mobo: Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0

CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 EVO

GPU: Gigabyte Windforce GTX 770 2GB (not really OC'd)

RAM: Kingston HyperX Beast 1600 MHz 8GB Dual-Channel

Storage: WD Black (WD1003FZEX) 1TB

If so, then please give me a list of what drivers and whatnot I would have to download. The point of this is that I want to build the PC with my friend and use it right after that. I would do this by connecting the HDD to my old PC.

Be swagelicas, ma homies.

Send help

You can't. When you install an OS on a computer it binds to the motherboard. You'd have to have the drive plugged into the motherboard you plan to install the OS on. I mean you could image, but that's a long shot.

Well... Shit...

I hoped I could just pre-configure the HDD, unbox all the freshly received hardware, build the PC, set the HDD as boot drive and just have it work and not have to waste the whole week he's over to visit on setting it up.

You shure tho?

If only it worked that way...
