I've been recently getting frame spikes in games and I have no idea why. Im using a 2060 super and a ryzen 7 3700x, aorus x570 elite, gskill trident z neo 3600. I dont think I should be getting lag spikes and Im trying to figure out why. Any tips or suggestions?

For example fortnite, sea of thieves. There both stored on a wd blue 500 gb ssd and all low settings.

Is the game locking up and stuttering or are you seeing FPS dips?

Both

If it's locking up, that typically points to drive issues. The game can't pull resources off the drive in time to process.

Is the drive almost full? Does it have errors?
