Hi, I have a question for any EK Loop Connect fan hub owners.

I'm planning a future PC upgrade and building a custom loop. The hub comes with 3 temperature probe connectors and 3 probes included. But I wanted to know if they are just for monitoring, or I could set up fan speed from the temperature readings?

I think it doesnt make sense to run fans in a loop from the cpu or gpu temps, since the fans will be cooling the liquid, not the components themselves. I have this problem with the Cooler master masterliquid lite 240 aio. I had to set a fan curve to raise fan speeds only when the cpu is really hot, to avoid random spikes in fan speed.

I've got the older version of their connect, and the up to date connect software.

Installed a 3rd party liquid temp sensor.  It reads liquid temps fine, and shows them in connect, BUT...

There's no option in connect software to select the sensor by which the fans operate.  Connect sees CPU and GPU temps, and assigns a temp to use against fan speeds, but there's no way to change that assigned temp.  It does NOT match my coolant temperature, CPU, OR GPU temp.  I'm personally disappointed in the connect software, not that I know of a better alternative.

I thought I've seen an EK rep on this forum here, perhaps they can comment for us.

I have one of those in my latest build, and because the software is that bad (it is mostly still mockups, the buttons don’t actually do anything) I relegated it to only controlling a few EK D-RGB things. No way you can actually use it to control speeds based on different temp probes.

Switched to aquacomputer/aquasuite for exactly that reason.

I have a real problem getting water cooling gear in my country, so i was hoping to get everything from ek. But if anyone could drop some hubs that support temp probe pwm would be nice. I could check if they're availible to buy for me.

Thanks for all the replies!
