Good PC configuration low FPS

Hello everyone.

My computer configuration:

Processor: i5 3570k 3.4 GHz

Ram: 8GB

Graphics card: RX 570

Motherboard: P8Z77-V 

 

Games: Dota 2, CS : GO

I dont know what to do, fps in CS GO 160 in wingman mode , video settings - low

Any background processes running?

Temps? is something overheating?

Use MSI afterburner + rtss to see if something is overheating or if something is being underused

does your pc have too many apps filled and is your hard drive filled up or what

To be perfectly honest, 160FPS sounds about right for a stock 3570K in CS:GO.

I mean, a stock i5 3rd gen is not going to get 300 FPS in CSGO or Dota 2. Especially with low memory amounts and slow DDR3 to boot

Everything is new. A new system has also been installed

played with I7 2600, with same configuration --had much better performance about 230-260 fps

The 2600 is a 4C/8T part, whereas the 3570K is a 4C/4T. The slightly better IPC of Ivy Bridge won't make up for the lack of hyper-threading, particularly since you're running it at stock speeds.

Also, generally, regardless of settings you'll still be CPU bound in CS:GO.
