Budget (including currency): Around AU$1500-1700

Country: Australia :)

Games: Tomb Raider, CSGO, Boarderlands, R6, Hollow Night

Software: general web stuff, web development, video editing, animation, photoshop, other school stuff nothing too heavy

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

This is a current list, as I intend on ordering parts in a few months I'll have to make modifications

Anything's better than my daily driver (dual core 13' macbook pro.)

Thanks!

Maybe share a different link?

When you paste a pc part picker link into an LTT forum it should automatically extend like this

(this is not supposed to be a recommended build, just an example)

3600x is not good value over normal 3600

mortar max is one of the best b450 boards with decent VRMs and 2x m.2 ssd slots

5700XT is much better than rtx 2060. 5700XT is around rtx 2070 super in performance.

P400A has one of the best airflow.

500w is more than enough for this build.

I have little better build than you but with same gpu and my pc uses around 350-400w on full load. your pc will use around 300-350w

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.

I'm getting the 3tb HDD by taking apart an external backup drive, so there's no cost there.

The Mortar Max looks like a fairly good budget board. The USB C port is a nice addidtion. I think I'll go for it.

I know that I could probably do with just the case fan until I can manage an upgrade. The NF-F12's look like a nice quality fan with good reviews.
