I just purchased a Windows 10 Pro key from ebay for around $1 馃槀
After activating, and checking it with
slmgr.vbs /dlv
and
slmgr /dli
, it returns the key as Windows 10 Pro VOLUME_MAK key. However, it is attached as a digital key to my Microsoft account.

Now the ques is:
  1. For how long a MAK key can run, given that seller is listing the key as brand new and sold only once key.
  2. What if I want to reinstall Windows 10 Home, which came preinstalled with my laptop and sign in with Microsoft Account, will it create an issue in activation?

After some research, I think MAK keys expire on the key itself, the install just runs out of uses for it and cant use it to set up. I don鈥檛 think it will remove from your device.

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I鈥檓 wrong.

However on running聽

slmgr /xpr

it returns Windows is permanently activated.
