Is it okay if my gpu goes to 83C (already limited by Afterburner)? while playing COD:MW Remastered 2019

Is it possible to damage my gpu slowly?

I heard on steam forums that that's pretty hot for nvidia card, only amd cards should get that hot, nvidia usually stays under 60C.

Temp limit option in afterburner is 83c, so my temperature peak is 83c. Maybe that all i can explain

Have you tried setting a more aggressive fan curve in afterburner?

83C is pretty toasty. Try to get better airflow over the card if you can. It is okay though. The card will down clock "thermal throttle" as to not get too hot.

Auto settings are generally terrible in my experience. I haven't used the program in a while but in the settings you should be able to change what percent the fan is running when the gpu reaches x temperature.

That would be a good test. It will help you determine if you need better case airflow.

Also my ryzen not going very smooth like other people (60c+) sometimes can hit a 78c too, maybe needs a new air cooler. And a good case fan (now i only have a stock from a case)

What was your last GPU? Might have used much less power? Microstutter @80C makes sense because the card's clock speed will be jumping around trying to stay under temp limit.

The hot GPU under your CPU cooler will heat it up. Sounds more and more to me like you need more case airflow.

I heard on steam forums that that's pretty hot for nvidia card, only amd cards should get that hot, nvidia usually stays under 60C.

False. Nvidia cards run as hot as AMD cards. it only depends when buying different model.

1060 3GB never play any AAA games, maybe when you play games like normal fps games (its only 60-75)

Manufacture is a one of different from a cooler, style, and build quality, right? Maybe MSI GPU is cooler than GALAX(?)

The 1060 3GB sips power compared to an RTX 2060, which means much less heat to dissipate.

if you buy blower rx 5700 and 3 fan rtx 2060 super, sure rtx 2060 super will run cooler. it is all about cooling/model like you said.

Glax has great coolers. Msi has good coolers (gaming x, gaming trio) and bad(ish) ones (armor, mech, ventus)

Some manufacturers have better coolers than others. Even within the same manufacturer there are tiers. I'm not sure about your specific card.
