so a friend is on the search for a build currently and he is stuck with this decision.

go ryzen 3 3300x with rtx 2070 super or go with I5 10600k with RTX 2060 super.

since he purely wants it for gaming. 

what u guys think? (around 1300 USD build)

I Think Instead Of RTX He Should Get A Navi Series GPU Or Maybe A High-End Polaris And For The CPU,I Think He Should Go For A Ryzen 5

Much better upgrade path forward with Ryzen 3 3300x I think.

Get a 3600 with a 5700xt

3300X + 5700 probably future proof, since CPU can be swapped easily with BIOS update if you get a X570 or B550 board. On the other hand the 10600K with a overclock may be a better buy but if it's future proof I dunno.

10600K better at gaming now, if not gonna upgrade in a while grab it with the 5700 or 5700xt the first of the two match next Gen consoles if leaked specs is true.

i don't think he will accept a 5700xt gpu cause he is into rtx hype. 

 

but on CPU he is intel fanatic and thats why he sees 10600k. now is it better to spend around 260$ on processor instead of 3300x or even 3600 (which right now is 167 usd) considering the jump in performance that 10600k gives ??

The one that exists in like 3 games lmao 

And the cpu 

A 3600 is the best

It's the same as the 10600k but cheaper and better 

He will kind of have to face the facts 

Because this combo is the best that you can do for this budget it can't be beaten
