Cheap GPU to run additional monitors.

As time come, I'm in a need of additional GPU to run most of my work on additional 3-4 monitors.
I currently run 3 monitors with my 1050 Ti, and I don't any iGPU out's. I tried running GT210 and older cards from Nvidia that I have on hand, but the drivers just won't make it.
And I don't want to spend ~$60+ for an GT610 and newer. Did anyone tried those cheap quadros etc. that are everywhere on the market with 10xx nvidias ?

I see the ones you mean, if you intend to install 2 and drive 4 screen that may work but you get what you pay for. I think you 'd be better off just buying something like nvidia Quadro P620.

If $60-$100 breaks your budget for productivity increase then maybe your better putting off the upgrade.

The Quadro NVS 290 = The Quadro NVS 290 was a mid-range professional graphics card by NVIDIA, launched in October 2007.https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/quadro-nvs-290.c1453

Both 256mb cards , it depends on your workload but in my experience its not enough even in a work setting (no games). These are all ex office cards most likely cause they hit end of usefulness

Tbh for years I had 7600GS next to my 280 and everything worked fine. But as I needed to upgrade, there was no more need for more than 3 monitors. But as we know the situation in this year is at it is, and I need to get an GPU "on the run" that will work with the same drivers as my 1050Ti, and they will mostly show logs, and some connectivity stats.
NVS 290 and fx 570 are too old for this driver, so maybe check your facts first. Also every gpu that is on the supported list for the driver (gt 630, gt710 etc.) in my country are getting ridiculously pricy, and in fact I'm better of getting another 1050Ti than proper GT710 with 4 dp out's, not to say about 1030's, (and atm. I can't really spent that amount of money to get something for my work, also it's end of the month so money is getting short). So I'm looking into some cheaper alternatives to get things running for some time, and change it later, as market will stabilize.

What are your current specs? hard to advise you unless I know that the advised card will work in your system.

Have you considered a Display card instead of a GPU? They are designed to support multiple monitors, AMD iirc can support up to 6 monitors and NVIDIA can support up to 5 monitors.

Example: AMD FirePro has 6 display outputs.

 

Also your 1050Ti should support 4-5 monitors at 1080p, if you have monitors that support daisy chaining and your outputs are DisplayPort.

What brand/model is the 1050Ti you have, you should have 3DP and 1HDMI port if it is an NVIDIA brand card so you should be able to support more monitors unless you are also looking to game on this machine but I have a feeling you dont game much on this?
