I want gapless playback between songs on my phone. A bunch of albums I listen to have continuous "flow" from one song to another (some examples are Colors and Parallax II from BTBAM) and this isn't a problem on iTunes or my ipod, but now that I have a galaxy S4, the songs have a delay in between switching songs and it's starting to bother me because I'm not expecting the delay every time.

I think your Android device doesn't have the crossfading effect that Apple devices have. Have you tried different music softwares for the S4? Something like Poweramp or n7.

 I don't mean crossfading, I just mean playing one song directly after another one, I'll try poweramp

 I was just using the stock player, I'll try poweramp

EDIT: I don't really want to have to pay for a music app, anything else for gapless play?

Just tried it, it barely helps. Still has a gap. Smaller, but still there

Are the songs on an SD card or the internal memory?

I found android terrible for music playback too, exacerbated when the media was on a micro sd (Class 10)

class 10 32 gig sd
