Now that information regarding potential performance of upcoming 'Big Navi' GPUs has surfaced, I need to decide what to do in terms of my next upgrade. I currently have a 4gb RX570, and I want to upgrade ASAP because a family member is looking to buy this card, and the sooner I upgrade my setup, the sooner they can finish their build. I can either buy a 5700XT now, or wait until the Big Navi lineup drops and buy whatever comes out at the $400 spot.

I'll theoretically be spending the same amount of money on a better card, assuming there is a card that replaces the 5700XT at that price. I'm not willing to spend more than $450, so if there are no new GPUs rumored to come out at or below that price, then there will be no reason to wait and I'll just get the 5700XT now.

I just would like to know whether or not waiting until the new card lineup arrives to upgrade my 570 will be worth it, be it with a more powerful card or lower overall prices. Thanks.

If your not satisfied with the performance upgrade other wise I recommend waiting and if you didn't like what big Navi had to offer

Wether the price is unreasonable or it wasn't a big upgrade you can get the 5700xt for cheaper so you'll win either way :D

Wouldn't a RTX 2060 Super be a better choice?

I don't think AMD is going to give us anything interesting this year - or even next year for that matter.

2060 super against a 5700xt ?

The 2060 super isn't even close

It's amd equivalent is a 5700

Yeah I guess you're right. I really thought the 2060 Super would perform better considering its price.

Haven't looked into GPUs for a while. 🙃

I got an RX 5700 XT as a mid level GPU to hold until next gen and I have to say, I really like it. Plays 1440p games on ultra like a dream. Lack of support for ray tracing is a little disappointing for me, but since Ray Tracing isn't a huge feature in games yet, I have no problem.

Also for $400, it's a great deal.
