Base Frequency

Is it ok to set my 2700x to its base clock 3.7mhz and undervolt it.

On B450M Steel Legend.

 

Got a noctua nh U14S and I'm sick of reading about the vrm's on this board. 

Just wondered if undervolting and running 3.7 all cores would help. 

Not bothered about the performance hit, sorting a small fan for the vrm's. 

Am I overthinking this.

You are. Unless you are reaching 110C on the VRMs, just leave it at stock and enjoy your CPU
