No. There will be too much bottlenecking🤦‍♂️. Firstly 500W PSU is crap for your build, go for at least 650W. MOBO wise, Anything above Ryzen 5, always go for an X570. A B450 is crap for Ryzen 7 3700x. RAM wise If you are using it for gaming, you don't need 3600Mhz RAM. 3200Mhz CL14 is enough. GPU wise, You don't need an RTX 2080 Super to play APEX or Fornite unless you are playing it on 4K. In that case, you have to change your CPU to a Ryzen 9 or better, i7-10700K or i9-10900K. Case wise, Having that much heat is bad for a case like the H510. Go for a better case instead with more airflow or space. Cooler wise, why are you putting a dang stock cooler on a Ryzen 7. It is recommended you go for a liquid cooler or fans like the DPR4 and Noctua NH-U12S

I would maybe consider upping your psu. I think that you would be better off with closer to 800w just to be safe and not have to worry about not having enough power. Now if you don’t want to over lock your parts then you are probably fine.

OP selection on B450 Tomahawk MAX is a great b450 board can handle 3950x for such a good price $115.

I mean if you want faster speeds you should go for X570 considering it has PCIe 4.0

It can handle my 3950x. But it does not unlock the full potential. If you want to go for 3950x, you should have the cash to get an X570 considering B450 can't take advantage of its high speed PCIe 4.0.

In gpu department, there is literary no performance different between PCIE 3 and PCIE 4. RTX 2080TI is not even sature PCIE 3 x16. In storage department, I don't think anybody will notice the real world different between PCIE 3 and PCIE 4 NVMe SSD.

B450 Tomahawk Max VRM can handle 3950x power demand. You don't need PCIE 4 if you are not consider using PCIE 4 storage drive.

OP can wait for B550. B550 will come out in June or July.

You only need pcie 4 if you want to run PCIE 4 NVMe SSD. Other than that, it has no impact on cpu and gpu performance. PCIE 4 will be obsolete soon because DDR5 and PCIE 5 is coming in 2 or 3 years.

Yes. If you want to save money you can go for the 3700x and it won't matter too much in FPS

3800x is very poor value, since 3700x has the same performance.

you only need the stock cooler for 3700x. if you need something quieter, get artic esports 34 duo

mothebroard is decent

memory choice is not decent

thta teamP drive is much better than that WD drive

you cna get 2080 super in this budget

meshify c isnt that good at stock fan config. you need to moun one fan at the back.

Shouldn't I get the x570

no. you can upgarde to the next gen ryzen even with b450 board. and that board is decent so it can handle 3700x. but if you have 40 dollars left, go for x570 prime-P. it is better than that b450 board but you wont actually need it.

Spoiler

Gpu tier list. Rtx 3000 and RX 6000 not included since not so many reviews. Tier S for Water cooling. Tier A and B for overcloking. Tier C stock and Tier D avoid.

( You can overclock Tier C just fine, but it can get very loud, that is why it is not recommended for overclocking, same with tier D)

Spoiler

Psu tier List. Tier A for Rtx 3000, Vega and RX 6000. Tier B For anything else. Tier C cheap/IGPU. Tier D and E avoid.

(RTX 3000/ RX 6000 Might run just fine with higher wattage tier B unit, Rtx 3070 runs fine with tier B units)

Spoiler

Cpu cooler tier list. Tier 1&2 for power hungry Cpus with Overclock. Tier 3&4 for overclocking Ryzen 3,5,7 or lower power Intel Cpus. Tier 5 for overclocking low end Cpus or 4/6 core Ryzen. Tier 6&7 for stock. Tier 8&9 Ryzen stock cooler performance. Do not waste your money!

Spoiler

Storage tier List. Tier A for Moving files/  OS. Tier B for OS/Games. Tier C for games. Tier D budget Pcs. Tier E if on sale not the worst but not good.

(With a grain of salt, I use tier C for OS myself)

Spoiler

Case Tier List. Work In Progress. Most Phanteks airflow series cases already done!

Ask me anything :)

I would maybe consider upping your psu. I think that you would be better off with closer to 800w just to be safe and not have to worry about not having enough power. Now if you don’t want to over lock your parts then you are probably fine.

False info. A good 500w will run it fine. Hell, a 450w can run a 9900k and 2080it.

1. Good 550w psu will handle this build fine.
2. A tomahawk max is better than the low-end MSI X570 hoards. It will handle a 3950x, which the X570 struggles with.
3. 3200MHz Cl14 = 3600MHz Cl16. He might get b-die, but the OP will probably just enable XMP and leave it at that.
4. Why would he have to upgrade it a 3900x/10900k? They won’t give him a huge performance boost and will take up 1/3rd of his budget.
5. The stock cooler handles the 3700x fine. The max it need is a eSports Duo 34. Beyond that you are just upgrading for aesthetics.
6. where is the bottlenecking you are so adamant about?

No, you can build it with just that. You just need a screwdriver.

So what is the best case to buy for this build that looks good but also has good cable management and airflow
