Why do CPU-Z and Open Hardware Monitor show different clock speeds?

G'day everyone,

Just a quick thing I'm curious about - I haven't done any research yet so let me know if it's a silly question!

Why do CPU-Z and Open Hardware Monitor show different core clock speeds?

In that instance I would assume it's polling rate, but I have no idea if Open Hardware Monitor is any good with it's 1400MHz min and 1500MHz high.

I just checked HWiNFO64 and CPUID and they agree with CPU-Z.

HWInfo64 is a great monitoring program as well.

Thanks for all the responses everyone! Sounds like the moral of the story is: don't trust Open Hardware Monitor for clock speed info! Good thing I mainly just use it for monitoring temps.
