I have i5-6600k and rx 580, 16gb ddr4. in games like the new call of duty i get major stutters and uses 100% cpu and gpu, for the likes of cs:go i am only getting 100-200 frames, which i hear is kinda low, i want a high performace pc but not wanting to fork out a lot for a cpu if that is not the problem.

try to overclock the cpu and the gpu.

otherwise you should upgrade the cpu to something better like ryzen 5 3600 or even 3300x

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.

Ah yes... 100-200 is low... yup...

What resolution do you play at? What graphic setting do you play at? What's the refresh rate on your monitor?

It's literally pointless to have 200 fps in CS:GO if your monitor is only 60Hz. You'll never see those extra frames and they may just cause tearing.

Also, competitive players will tell you to reduce the resolution and graphic setting of the game to get it to run smoother.

Before thinking about upgrading, see what you have and whether or not you can just decrease the quality of a game to get more life out of it. If you are not willing to do so... Then do feel free to upgrade.

Can you tell us about the temperatures of both the cpu and the GPU

Did you try ddu (a software that deletes the drivers and reinstalls them freshly basically)

And what mobo do you have ?

Yea you can oc but I think going with any voltage beyond 1.3 will be a hazard

First of all it's a 4 phase power design or at least it looks like it and second of all that heatsink is TINY

But if your friend wants to oc this for you just tell them don't go over 1.3 wether he agrees or not this mobo has less power phases then some low end b450 boards

Good luck :D
