Dear All Experience Friends

I am new here, and I just started following linus channels during this lock down and I have found it is very useful. I have been away from forums for awhile.

I am not an expert and not a noob as well, I used to fix PC hardware and Software issues for friends. I run some websites and used to run a from warez tech forum during 2007 to 2015.

I design some contents and make few websites. I play games too. My profession is Electrical Engineering. It is a short introduction.

Currently I am using bit old PC, 2012 Build

A totally waste of money build for now.
Take this :
Ryzen 9 3900x or wait for the 4900x

Asus Strix X570-E
The graphics card, storage and other options are good.

For case, Be Quiet Pure Base 500DX
Your main priority is gaming. If so, get a 1080p 144Hz display.

1200W psu in current build... but why?

It was build in year 2012, I had few terabytes of HDDs, So I thought I may required some power and I placed it for long term. So I can still use it with my new build I guess.

I think he means it is a waste to build a whole new computer, rather than replace a few parts

Yes 9900K is a waste of money in this time. Your setup is something is totally unupgradable.
You'll need a total new build and for that Intel parts right now have no value if you consider performance, price, thermals and power comnsumption, at least if you're unbiased.

Shouldn’t it worth till intel 11th Gen CPU release With PCI 4.0, on 2022.
Btw is there any other things I have to consider.

like having NVME drives.

Is intel optain memory 32GB with 1TB Flash is  better Samsung 970 Evo Plus. Does it improve any performances. I have Few Terabyte disks total 12TB for my data storages.

Optane is the king. Your storage is pretty good, I like it.
If Intel goes with 10nm or lower, i'm ditching AMD. Cause, with even playground Intel will always winn in performance.
But sorrowfully the time is in AMD's favour
