Don't use Prime95. It overvolts Haswell processors. If you're going to overclock, get a good cooler, use IBT, and set a manual voltage. For stock, my 4770k pulled 1.2v which got up to 90C. Right now I'm running 4ghz using 1.15v and getting a max of 80C.

I got a i7 4770k I want to push a bit, and don´t know if I should. Because I get 80-90 degrees c when running Prime 95 small fft which I heard is a much used stress test. Isn´t that a bit to hot in your opinion?

80c should be the limit. you can't go any higher without a better cooler.

Wait.

How does Prime95 overvolt a Haswell processor? It should only be able to do that if you set your voltage on Auto which no one that is on this forum should ever do.

I use Prime95 to test everything from Bench rigs to servers. Works fine for me.
