So, brief explanation is im currently saving for a PC, but at the same time while saving the money to buy said PC, my current rigs GPU has died, so I thought if I replace that now, I can just use that in the new rig and save up to buy the rest when I can,

So now im torn between the EVGA SC 1660 Super, or PowerColor AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT Red Dragon

From the research I have seen, the 5600XT is slightly better but loads of reviews say it has been restricted/Bios stuff, not 100% sure what this means

Never used an AMD GPU so any advice is appriciated

Current rig:

i5-4690k @ Stock

Asus Z97-P Mobo

EVGA GTX950 SC (dead card)

TX650M PSU

This is the one I was looking at getting as currently its on sale and only £8 more than the 1660S I was looking at

@oblivioux RX 5600 XT, Edit: 1660 Super is also good. But dont get the 1660 Ti, it's only 8 - 12% more performance than the 1660 Super but 30 USD more

That is worth the 30 dollars.

sorry for the delayed reply, thanks for the opinions it really helps! my only issue is after looking at the RX 5600 XT Red Dragon, I have seen a lot of people reporting fan issues and real big problems over heating, does anyone know if this has been addressed now in a BIOS update or something?
