            Hello!

This is my pc that I built with just wanting to get into PC gaming. I have always wanted a gaming pc since it has been hyped up as the way to go for gaming since the first thought of gaming. I ended up getting the actual computer for free from my fathers work. Not kidding, this thing has about a 1/4" of dust on every part, since this was the main computer at the parts counter. I didn't know what to expect when I first started getting some upgrades for it. I ended up first getting an SSD, then a GPU.

That is when I got my first taste of compatibility problems and software browsing. See, Intel decided to get rid of all of their software for just about 95% of their previous creations, and well it just so happen to be that my motherboard had an old bios that wouldn't support my gpu I just bought. Took about a whole day of searching the interweebs for the right bios, and as luck would have it, someone on here just so happen to have the same difficulties and had backed up their bios! (Thanks Joshua Larsen-BradfordFrom their on out I bought a new fan, some more memory, and a better power supply. The old one that came with it was loud and has had know failures, so I was beyond happy to know that it shouldn't self destruct!

In the end I ended up paying in total for everything $251 for all the parts (will list each price with the part below). Its been a blast meeting and talking with other people about computers and really finding out how much more they're prevalent in today's society. I am in college going on my second year going for Mechatronics and Industrial Mechanic (Millwright). I guess I could say that building this thing has changed on what profession I was looking into perusing for a career!

I did have an old gateway computer that was giving to me by my parents and tried to game on it, but it is slower than molasses. Think it came out circa 2003 and was a budget on at that. Didn't keep me from trying to game on it though, and bought some early 2000's games on it.

If ya made it this far through this jumbled up mess, thanks for reading! PC MASTER RACE!!!

PS: I started out on the SNES gaming from my father, went to the Gamecube, then to Xbox and have been hooked on gaming since. Only had the computer since November of 2019. I also got a gaming laptop around the same time of this computer.

Is this your final build or do you plan on making any changes?

Honestly, not a bad first computer but it is quite dated (the graphics card is still relevant). I would recommend upgrading to a another dell pre-built and taking your GPU with you to that new build.

@kkpatel87 more than likely this is the final stage for this build. The reason why is because I'd rather build another computer with newer hardware. I honestly just wanted a pc to game with my buddies for now, and maybe later on give this one to a cousin or something like that for a first system.
