Should i upgrade something?

So i have an "good" Rig

So Ryzen 5 2600

GTX 1080

2TB SSHD

RGB something...

500 Watt 80+ Gold PSU

And i just wanted to know... I of course update everything... Patches, Updates... and all that. 

I just wanted to know if i should upgrade anything...

Just wanna know your Opinions, dear Readers

mayby m.2ssd for boot drive. other than that pretty balanced build

 

well you can upgrade to 4th gen ryzen comign after summer if you have b450 or better motherboard?

Motherboard tier list. Tier A for overclocking 5950x. Tier B for overclocking 5900x, Tier C for overclocking 5800X. Tier D for overclocking 5600X. Tier F for 4/6 core Cpus at stock. Tier E avoid.

(Also case airflow matter or if you are using Downcraft air cooler)

Gpu tier list. Rtx 3000 and RX 6000 not included since not so many reviews. Tier S for Water cooling. Tier A and B for overcloking. Tier C stock and Tier D avoid.

( You can overclock Tier C just fine, but it can get very loud, that is why it is not recommended for overclocking, same with tier D)

Psu tier List. Tier A for Rtx 3000, Vega and RX 6000. Tier B For anything else. Tier C cheap/IGPU. Tier D and E avoid.

(RTX 3000/ RX 6000 Might run just fine with higher wattage tier B unit, Rtx 3070 runs fine with tier B units)

Lol don't upgrade if you don't feel the need to. That's just...stupid. You're throwing money away.

 

 

I am still on an 11 year old platform cause I don't feel the need for more performance.

You've got a pretty balanced system. If you've got the money and you're just dying to upgrade something:

  • You could grab a 2080 or Ti GPU, but I'd probably wait until the fall to do that anyways (the 3000 series GPUs are rumored to be coming out in the coming months).

That's quite a high end monitor for a middle of road PC build.  I guess I'd focus on upgrades to hit 4k 144hz.
