Hello!

I'm having problems with my Gigabyte RTX 2060 OC 6GB rev 1.0. the fans are super loud and if I make them quiet then the temps start rising.

I have tried anything from undervolting to custom fan curves but nothing seems to be working. I have also installed more case fans to my Fractal Design Core 2300 case and thus made sure that there should be a decent airflow in my case. I haven't tried repasting the card yet mainly because it will void the warranty and since the problem is with my GPU fans, not the temps, I don't see it being a big factor in this instance. Also RMA is one option but the card fans are only loud from 60% fan speed and up and I honestly think it's just the card being bad quality plus the retailer I bought it from charges 30€ for an inappropriate RMA.

The card itself is about 1,5 years old. Gigabyte's newer rev 2.0 versions (which shouldn't have these kind of problems) came out later so they weren't on the market when I bought this one.

What should I do to fix this thing? The noise is driving me crazy.

Thanks in advance! 😃

There's nothing you can do apart from RMA. That model is really bad when it comes to noise and heat. The newer rev is still kinda hot but not as noisy anymore.

I guess that's the only option. What and how should I state the reasons for it in order to evade the payment for false RMA?

Record the GPU hitting high temperatures while under load, along with the sound from the noisy fan.

Argue that this is a well-known problem and due to that the Rev 2.0 was released.
