So I started having this problem with my pc. I just started playing ark (from the windows store) with my girlfriend and we’re having a great time playing but somethings started happening with my pc where the screen will go black and the fans will ramp up in an instant. Obviously this is really annoying because every time I go to play ark this happens and I don’t even know what to do. I think its the graphics card fans that ramp up but I could be wrong. Any help with this issue would be really appreciated.

Spec:

Ryzen 2700x

RX580 Fatboy

16gb Corsair vengeance pro RAM

B450 Auros Pro motherboard

That's a little weak for your computer, but anyways, it's good to check the temps under full load. Here's something that will keep your system pinned at 100% usage: https://geeks3d.com/furmark/

Yep, make sure to note down the temps somewhere too.

So the max temp I got from it was 84 degrees Celsius and its been on for longer than ark would’ve been on for without crashing so now I’m confused. Know what I should do from here?

You should stress test it a little longer (30ish min), also what is 84C? The processor or GPU? It's quite high for either of these components. When it comes to the game crashing, it could also be a driver issue (you can clean install GPU drivers after removing current ones using DDU in safe mode).  The issue could also be related to the game itself so it might be worth reinstalling it too.

It is the GPU that’s 84C. I’ve left it a bit longer now and it’s still staying at 84C. How do I use the DDU thing? Do I find it online or what?

Yep, here's the link: https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

How are the CPU temps? (You can run cinebench R20 (download through ms store) and look at "CPU package" in HWinfo to see the Processor temp under load

So I did the ddu thing and I’ve just got my pc back working now and I booted ark up, played for around ten minutes and then it did the exact same thing again
