I need a PSU to power a 3600 and a 3070/3080 in the near future. I'd like it to be fully modular (but i don't really need custom cables...so maybe semimodular could do as well) and quiet in idle. I've done some overclocking in the past, i don't plan to do it in the foreseeable future but i'd like to have the option. I'd also like to save money if possible/not worth it spending more.

I guess 550W could be enough, but 650W would give me more peace of mind, if the price difference is not too much.

Options i was considering:

  • Focus-GX 550W 103€
  • Focus-GX 650W 122€
  • RM650X 135€
  • Straight Power 11 650W 135€
  • NZXT C650 100€

Since they are all Tier A, the NZXT seems to be the better value option to me, and it would free me of the 550W-650W dilemma. I know that the C-series is based on Seasonic technology, but i couldn't find out if it's based on the old Focus or the new Focus-GX.

My first choice was the RMx, but since the price is 20€ higher than when i first thought about buying it i'm wondering if it's still worth it over the NZXT or the Seasonic.

I'm also open to other options. I will buy the unit from Amazon.it

As far as I can tell you, the C-series is based off the GX, with some minor differences

I'd say it's a great value here, especially compared to GX

the only thing I would say is if you care about noise a lot, the RMx and SP11 will be a touch more quiet
