Can any of you give me thoughts on this bundle https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Bundles/AMD+CPU+and+Motherboard+Bundles/ASUS+X570-P+Motherboard+%2B+AMD+Ryzen+3600+%2B+16GB+Corsair+Vengeance+White+3000MHz+Memory+%2B+ASUS+ROG+STRIP+Bundle?productId=72181

I dont care about the RGB stuff. But seems like a good price for the CPU+Ram+MB like the idea of x570 as will let me go for 4th gen ryzen down the road.

I wont most prob ever overclock. The system will have my 1060 transfered over to start. Running a 1080p monitor only

thanks

Steve

The X570-P is an odd motherboard: in its price range, it has the most exceptional power delivery for stable everyday use and better overclocking, yet the board itself lacks advance features like USB-C ports, SLI support, Intel LAN, S/PDIF, etc.

It's fine for a home gaming computer if you don't care those feature. And if you really need them, you still have the option of using AIC.

Paired with a R5 3600 and 1060, combined with the fast RAM, it would make a perfect 1080P gaming system. You can certainly upgrade to newer CPU and GPU down the line when they became available, and aim for higher resolution of refresh rate.

I notice there’s no PSU.  Just watched a thing talking about how PSUs have been harder to find than they should be since January.  Apparently small ones (up to 450w) and big ones (750w+) are findable, but the most common range has been out of stock for a long time and there seems to be little on the horizon.  Might want to look at that bit.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

Im good for the rest of the hardware as they will be moved across from my current rig. Fx 8350. same for drives, case  etc

Dont really need usb-c etc and cant see ever doing sli. so should be ok for my needs then you think.

Thanks for the sanity check guys
