Hello guys. So i've been having this troubling problem for some time. Everytime I run GTA V, it runs very bad, textures take a good while to load, too much lag. Its shown that the CPU usage during the game can even hit 99% while the gpu usage stays pretty low. I tried reinstalling the game and installing it again, messing with the settings, even the config files, still no luck. (this issue only happens with GTA V)

Specs:

i5 7500 3.4ghz

1050ti 4gb

2tb hdd + 128gb ssd

Thanks in advance :]

edit: textures often disappear

Looks like a CPU bottleneck to me.

even my i5 3470 wouldn't bottleneck a 1050 ti -_-

What about in GTA V?

I know that GTA5 can be a pretty CPU intensive game. There's a few tests out there from ETA Prime where even with a 1080ti the game wont go past 30-45fps because of CPU limitations.

- Try uninstalling as many unused apps as possible.

- Closing anything running in the background while you play.

- Physically clean your system.

There's a chance that your CPU might be thermal throttling from not being able to cool down under load if it's caked in dust. It'll underclock itself to keep from killing itself. Keep an eye on your temps.

If everything is as clean as possible and if your temps are still hot (roughly >65C) try disabling turbo boost.

Hope this helps.
