Multiple Monitors Help (weird setup)
So I've got a 3 "monitor" setup right now (2 monitors and my tv) and I'd like to add a small monitor or tv dedicated to stuff like Nickreboot and Toonamiaftermath but I'm not entirely sure what the best route would be to do this. I've got an i7-2600k, Asrock z77 pro4 motherboard, and an Asus 7850 2GB-v2 gpu. Currently 1 monitor's on DVI, the other's on displayport (displayport-to-DVI), and my tv's on HDMI all from my GPU. My question is can I run a tv off of the HDMI from my motherboard? Or should I run a monitor off of the empty DVI on my GPU? Can the 7000 series even do that? I know I should know this stuff but it's never been a concern to me until now.
Don't think you can run a secondary monitor off the motherboard while using a dedicated GPU.
Just plug it in the GPU, it will work, AMD even lists that it can support 6 displays (probably if you use a Displayport multi-stream adapter).
