7970 Artifacting issues

I need a bit of help here. I have an i5 3570k and a Powercolor 7970 (got a good price for it), with an antec earthwatts 500w PSU. Lately I've had some artifacting issues, even when just web browsing or watching a video. I didn't have any issues in the past when I had my Athlon X3, and this is only recently, like the past month or so. What do I do? I'm kinda worried. I already re-installed drivers, but no dice. Anybody have a clue on what's happening with my 7970?

I had the same thing with my 7970 lightning at stock on the desktop. Had to rma it .

I had an issue with my 7970 artifacting on certain games, however, never at for "every day tasks". You should RMA it.

Monitor your HD 7970.

- How are the temperatures?

- Is the GPU fan operating properly (is it spinning)?

 

What version drivers are you using?

 

Did you happen to get your Powercolor Radeon HD 7970 used?

Ive been having problems with my 2 7970s doing this in all types of applications, like occasionally it will just artifact. I really don't want to replace them but what else am i supposed to do to get it to stop?
