Notice massive frame drops and stutters, took out my 1070 and kept in the 950 and had no issues with jitter or any lag... I have it pair with my 6700.

I took the EVGA 1070 SC apart and notice the chip was dry and the thermal paste was completely trash, I bought this card on OFFERUP awhile ago and never had issues. but the previous owner said he kept new thermal paste on it. Does SC edition cards come across these problems? Also i haven't tested the 1070 yet b/c i need thermal paste since i clean off the old one & will be applying mx-4.

Drying out of thermal paste?  I think that’s the paste not the card.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
