Hey,

So I am looking to get a new keyboard, I have had my current one (Corsair Vengence K60) for around 5 odd years now and its time for a new one.

I am looking for something that is mechanical, I have red switches at the moment that I quite like and am also considering browns as I spend a lot of time in discord with friends and don't want to go too loud with something like blues. I have looked over amazon, newegg and companies direct sites and the only things that have really caught my eye are out of my price range which is roughly £100 or about $120-$125 (I can stretch a bit further if its especailly good).

A brief rundown of the features I would like to have:

Mechanical key switches is a must, probably reds but browns if reds are not an option.

Full 104 key is also a must, I use the numpad relatively regularly both in games where they are used by mods but also in number entry in excel.

I would like to have a usb passthrough, I have come to love the passthrough on my current keyboard and use it more frequently than the other 2.0 ports on my desktop.

I enjoy using the volume wheel on the keyboard but rarely if ever the media controls so dedicated volume controls would be nice.

A detachable wrist rest would be a bonus as well but not needed.

I would love to have wireless, but to my knowledge and from my research this is not practical within the budget (if I had the money to spend I would get the G913 lightspeed).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and if there is any other information that I can give please ask.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I don't think you mentioned your budget, but the budget mech keyboard of choice for me would be the Ajazz Ak60. It has most of what you've asked for, and maybe you could throw in a keyboard wrist rest and a USB extention cable, to intergrate into your desk, with any money left over.

No drivers, individual key RGB, and dedicated volume/media controls are strong selling points for this keyboard.

My budget is mentioned in the original, but its £100 aka $120-$125.

That looks interesting, feel like I may be able to get more for the money that I can spend on this, also not convinced about the blackout top and 'front' lettering.

Ohh, I only skimmed through so I thought £100 was too much. But anyway, it's a solid keyboard (mine is modded with different switches), and the caps are a quirk you may or may not like. If you don't like the caps, you can always buy new ones since the board itself is so cheap. I have these caps (the "Carbon sides") on it right now, though they don't let through the backlight. They're also UK ISO, which is quite rare for a chinese board.

I would keep an eye out for a deal on either a Strafe MK.2 or K70 MK.2.  MSRP is higher than your budget, but I've seen deals on retail sites that fall close or within your budget.  Both offer Cherry MX Red options, and K70 MK.2 has MX browns as well.  You'll also have USB pass-through, Volume Scroll Wheel, and a detachable wrist rest.  Either option would suit your pre-reqs you mentioned above.  Let me know if you have any questions.
