After some discussions im probably going team amd with a 3800x/3900x.

Now for the mb i chose the x470 aorus gaming 5 or a newer x570.(thats if im going 3900x, idk if the 3800x and 3900x have the same socket)

Interms of ram i chose corsair vengeance lpx 2x16GB 3600mhz cl18 kit

I have a cooler master gx 550w bronze 80+

My question is: will this psu handle the 3800x/3900x and a future upgrade to a 2060 super/2070 super?

Idk if that psu is even conpatible with amd board

Sorry if its a dumb question

If I was building a system like above, I would list all the parts on pcpartpicker.com.   It will give a total max esitmated wattage.   You can then determine the best PSU that you would need.  (I always add 100-150 to that total).

Please add in any RGB, aftermarket CPU cooler, hard drives, fans, etc...

Go x570 for future CPU support.

If you're considering upgrading later go as low as a 3300x for a CPU.

Aim for 3600 CL16 but CL18 will do.

550w is pushing it, but should still work.

ALL ATX PSUs are compatible with AMD/intel.

I was talking about a gpu support not cpu :)

i know what you said. X470 does not have support for future ryzen cpus.

as far as the GPU question:

550w is pushing it, but should still work.

I don't know the exact models of everything specified in your build.  I took some guesses and the power requirements were 450+.  (using a R9 3900X)..

I would suggest a 650 watt PSU or higher.
