So im looking at getting this pump res combo from alpha cool because it has a pedistall and it is pwm controlled. Im sorta asking for a sanity cheque so is there anythign wrong with it? Are they better options that fit my requierments. i need 2 for a tower 900 build.

The Alphacool D5 is very good, just know it is a D5 inspired design and is very different internally than a stock D5.

You will want to make sure your fittings match your tubing size and of course it being hardline or soft tube, if you want to best of the best Bitspower would be the gold standard.

For hardline you want to make sure your exact fitting size matches the OD of the tubing, Alphacool fittings are decent. They do have an odd ball size for one of their series which was 13mm which I would suggest to avoid as obtaining 13mm size tubing out the wild is a bit more difficult than the more common 12mm, 14mm, and 16mm.

These new ones they have are actually quite interesting with the large nylon compression and oring seals.

By 16mm it means it will fit 16mm outer diamater like this set right?

That's correct it's the OD of the tube that is most important for hardline and that tubing in terms of spec would work with the Alphacool fittings.

Last and prob stupid question. For hardline petg (im going for a crazy build but not so stupid that i cant afford to mess up) is this stuff fine or is there better and decently afordable petg?

Not really much difference with PETG out there, it's not a bad practice to get the fittings and PETG or hardline tubing from the same manufacture to make sure the tolerances match well and you don't run into the issue of slightly under or oversized tubing and it being loose or so tight it doesn't fit with the fittings. It's a rare occurrence but sometimes can happen.

I'd suggest to get double the amount of PETG tubing if this is your first time doing hardline as making bends will result it a fair bit of trial and error so expect some mistakes and a slight learning curve.

I plan on getting more then double. On that note then what are the thermal take fittings considered since that's where I might be getting my tubes from?

Which thermaltake fittings are you planning on getting?

The RGB ones are fairly unique since they rely on an internal ID seal instead of an external OD seal.

Also since you're in Canada check Dazmode as they have a lot watercooling stuff available

Their fittings are alright, that design is a 2 piece fitting so it relies on both a seal to the tubing and a face seal. It adds an extra point of failure but for the ease of installing your loop. Most hardline loops if done with regular single piece fittings will require a bit of twisting and bending of tubing/components to get everything to line up and seat properly into place.
