2x 32GB can be better depending on the mainboard. On most hight-spec mainboards it shouldn’t make a difference.

The timings on the 4x16GB kit you linked are a bit better but I would go with the 2x32 unless u use quad-channel.

Whats quad channel?

I did notice one thing though. The 2x32 say Intel XMP, whereas the 4x16 says AMD

G.SKILL Trident Z Neo Series 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Intel XMP 2.0 Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C18D-64GTZN

you can buy these for 270 dollars and later buy another kit like this to reach 128gb .

I haven’t seen that you have an 3900X so you are not using quad-cannel. HEDT CPUs can use quad-channel RAM to further boost the RAM speed.

You said the above, I responded saying I do have it.

SO all that being said two questions.

1. Does it matter that the 2x64 says Intel XMP?

2. Even with the ability to quad channel, is it better having 4 smaller or 2 larger?

Someone above mentioned being able to easier max out with have 2x32 since the mb maxs at 128 so can use 2 more 32 sticks later if it mattered.

no, doesn't matter, that's just marketing bullshit

I see its not on the list here though, I dont know how to do a lot of crazy configurations.

1. Most of the time not, but like every time but it is not 100% certain.

2. If you had a CPU that could use quad-channel it would make quite a big difference but the 3900X just supports dual-channel so I would go with 2x32.

Gotcha, thanks. Did you see my question about the compatibility?

I read its a Intel XMP, not AMD and I dont see it on AMDs list.

It should work other ways there would be just 2 Corsair and 3 Crucial kits that work at 3600MHz. I can’t find the 4x16 memory on the list too.
