Hi, here is what I have chosen for my first watercooling setup.

Case :

  • NZXT H440

CPU Block :

  • 1x EK Supremacy Nickel

GPU Block :

  • 2x EK 280X Nickel

Radiators :

  • 1x XT45 360mm
  • 1x XT45 240mm

Pump :

  • MCP655 varspeed

Fittings :

  • 12x Moonsoon fittings

My questions for the remaining components :

1. Should I get a tube reservoir or a hidden Micro reservoir? If I go with the tube reservoir path, what should I be looking at?

2. Should I get LED fans or normal fans with LED strips? Unfortunately, I am not digging the NF F12 colors. Which fans performs relatively good at low noise level? How are the BitFenix Spectre Pro?

Thank you

Get standard fans and LED strips. Specifically, LED strips from IceModz and Scythe Gentle Typhoons.

im not sure your gunna be able to get the 45mm in the roof. i placed my 38mm

Tt water extreme 2.0 and a fan and that was about all it could handle before

tapping into 'sinks.

  1. it'll come down to reservoir choice on your ability to fab it to work. nothing dead right/wrong with any of the reservoirs other than bay reservoirs (no ODD bays).
  2. for water cooling, not much in good static pressure LED fans. phobya, Enermax(?).. prolly LED strips for better highlights.

I guess I should opt in for the slim version of the Alphacool 360mm since I have this huge heatsink at the top of my motherboard. Any major difference between the XT45 and XT30?

from my experience, the thicker the longer it takes the temperatures to stabilize.

i prefer 60mm, but if not that the 45mm would be next and lastly the 30mm.

some peeps say there is no difference between the thicknesses (i disagree), but

it is a total package thing of hardware, radiators, fans and ability.
