Hello everyone,

I have been given an EVGA 210-GQ-0750-V1 power supplyby a friend because he doesn't use his gaming PC anymore, however, as he had also given away his GPU, he has given the cable that goes from the PSU to the GFX Card.

As I am building a new PC with that PSU included, I am wondering which cable would work from this OSL EVGA PSU, to a Radeon RX 5600 XT.

Are these cables in an industry standard? I couldn't find a lot online about it, and didn't want to make any mistakes, and this forum has been very useful thus far.

thanks for the help,

I'm confused. EVGA GQ 750 comes with 11 modular cables in total, and the only cable you got from your friend was a single PCIe cable?

You just said your friend gave you the PCIe cable. Do you have it or not?

OSL

What does that mean?

EDIT: Do you mean your friend gave away the PCIe cable when he sold his GPU? In this case, you can contact EVGA support for help with purchasing a new PCIe cable. They are not standardized, so you cannot use just any cable you find on the Internet.

No obviously I didn't mention the other cables because I have them and didn't need guidance

EVGA call their PCIe cables VGA,and I did not receive any from my friend, so to clarify I don't have any PCIe cables

I've contacted EVGA support as I now realise that these are not standardised, I suppose this is all that I can do? Is there any way that different equivalents can easily be found? Because I was under the impression that if I can find a PSU cable that has the exact same Key and probe the cable to see if the Pin-out matches?

Edit: As far as the OSL is concerned, i simply mentioned it because it appeared on the PSU, i'd imagine that it is just EVGA jargon

Oh sure, you can try any cable with the same key and pinout if you probe it, but I imagine it would be hard to find one just by looking.

EVGA has a cable compatibility FAQ here, and they specifically say the GQ series cables are not interchangeable with any other series: https://www.evga.com/support/faq/FAQdetails.aspx?f=59698

Quote

*Please note that all GQ power supplies are not cross-compatible with any other cable sets.

So it looks like the only way for you to get the VGA cables is specifically looking for used GQ cables and not any other ones.
